MAPpenings

The Media Association of Pittsburgh (MAP) is a group of extremely passionate media folks from all sides of the desk.   With our powers combined, we are able to create a network of professionals dedicated to improving the media industry in Pittsburgh one TRP at a time.

MAP is born from the finest TV and radio sales departments, advertising agencies, outdoor companies, social media strategists and other jazzed up communicators.  If it can be viewed, bought, sold, illuminated, tabulated, projected, tweeted, poked or ‘liked’ we are totally into it.

I’ve been a member for the bulk of my professional career, but this year decided to look into joining the Board of Directors.  I was elected and currently sit on the Communications Committee where I am handling all copy writing (web, promotional) as well as maintaining the organization’s e-mail database. Working to develop a social media strategy and new web design with Ideahaus, we’ve definitely kicked things up a notch for the organization – and it’s getting noticed.
